Most of you have probably noticed the construction that is going on around Spinks Airport. With that there is times where they will have to shut down the runway. Wednesday will be one of those days, I have included the email that we received from the city regarding the runway closure for Wednesday April 18th.

Construction Project Update
Greetings All,
The construction project is progressing nicely; it should be completed on time at the beginning of May. I appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. It was just brought to my attention from TxDOT Aviation that Spinks airport was approved for runway restriping. Therefore, Wednesday, April 18 Runway 17R/35L will be closed for restriping. Work will begin at 7:30 AM and concluded at midnight. It will then be opened and available for use midnight, Thursday morning. If there is rain or high winds on Wednesday, this will be delayed to another day. The turf runway (17L/35R) will be open during this time, as long as there hasn’t been significant rainfall the day before.
There will be a NOTAM published for this closure, but I wanted to give advanced notice to everyone for coordination purposes.
