Spinks Flight Center provides aircraft both for training as well as for rental. The costs are wet costs*.
Students rent aircraft during their flight training to learn maneuvers, take offs, landings, cross-country flight, etc. Not all of your time will be spent in the plane, however. There is also an instructor cost (shown below) for time spent in ground school studies as well as in-flight training. For the first several hours worth of flight training, your hourly costs will include both the plane’s WET cost as well as the instructor’s hourly cost.
Certified pilots that wish to rent only must complete a one hour check ride with a Spinks Flight Center instructor and complete the Rental Agreement and other necessary paperwork. All OVERNIGHT rentals will incur a minimum of TWO HOURS rental fee for each night.
* Wet Cost is defined as the per hour cost of the plane PLUS fuel. In other words, you’re not required to rent the plane and pay for the fuel separate.
